August 2025 SkillSelect Invitation Round Results

On 21 August 2025, the Department of Home Affairs ran the first SkillSelect invitation round of the 2025–26 program year. This round focused on the Subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa and the Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Family Sponsored) Visa. The results highlight how competitive skilled migration remains, with many occupations requiring 85–100 points or more.
