Visitor Visa (Subclass 600)

This visa is for business visitors, tourists or to visit family for 3, 6 or 12 months.

This visa allows the applicant to visit Australia for multiple reasons. It could be for visiting a family member who might be studying in Australia at the time or visiting relatives who are Australian residents. It could also be for a business visit or just to travel and explore Australia.

Basic eligibility and requirements:

  • Be a genuine visitor

  • Have enough funds to support your stay and

  • Make sure to leave within the given timeframe.

The processing time for the visa varies according to the streams of the visa. Following are the streams of the tourist visa:

  • Business visitor stream

  • Sponsored Family Stream

  • Frequent traveller stream

  • Tourist stream (apply in Australia)

  • Approved Destination Status stream

  • Tourist stream (apply outside Australia)
